Katara’s life so far has been hard. Living alongside many other cats in an overcrowded home, she missed out on the opportunity to develop the social skills most cats build in early kittenhood, and now finds change and novelty overwhelming. She is seeking a generous family content to give her the time and space she needs to find comfort in a new place and a new routine. In the shelter, she has gradually begun to show her fondness for cheek-scratches. Given patient understanding and chances to interact on her own terms, we expect Katara’s adopters will see her personality emerge more fully over time.
Where Katara shines is her ability to be companionable with other cats! If you’re currently in the market for two kitties known to enjoy cuddling together, Katara 315031 and Lizzie 315015 may share a $50 adoption fee. If not adopted with Lizzie, Katara is highly recommended to go to a home with another welcoming cat or two. She has not had exposure to dogs or children and, for her comfort, we suggest this is not the best time for her to be asked to tackle those new experiences.
