Roxy’s a softie girl with a sensitive soul! Looking for a quiet home where she can be the center of attention. Once you’re friends, she’s a steady companion and likely to follow you about your day, and give you all the kisses, but she’s not a social butterfly and is going to be her most open self in a smaller social circle.
When Roxy goes for her walks, she has been described as a sweetheart, and when she knows that there are treats to be had, she will sit politely without even being asked to do so, all the while wagging her tail. She’s not one to brag, but she also knows sit, down, shake (with both paws!), speak, and whisper! What a smarty pants!
As she’s matured, Roxy has become less tolerant of dogs in her space, so while she can make new dog friends with the right personalities, she’s been more relaxed with male dogs and is unlikely to enjoy dog park outings or other dog dense adventures. Here at the shelter, she has enjoyed play sessions with thoughtfully selected dogs.
For her comfort during this stressful transitional time Roxy is recommended for a home with older or no children.
