Axel is a sweet boy with a big heart and an irresistible smile. He might enjoy playtime, relaxed walks, and being close to his favorite humans as he settles in. Axel can get a bit stressed when he’s left alone, so he may need some support, patience, and routine to help him feel comfortable.
Axel greets our volunteers with calm energy — they’ve told us he is an attentive walker who takes his time using his nose to explore the world around him, enjoying petting and taking treats gently.
Axel will only be rehomed to a family without children or with kids at least 10 years of age. He may enjoy a multi-dog home and previously lived with a cat. Axel is what we lovingly call a Golden Nugget – a pet whose shine only grows brighter once you take the time to know him. He’s ready to surprise you and charm you!
