Foothills Animal Shelter is pleased to partner with Calvert Dog Training to offer Group Training Classes in the Foothills Community Room! Each class is limited to six dogs. Whether your pooch is a playful pup or a seasoned companion, Calvert Dog Training’s expert trainers will help them become the best four-legged friends they can be!

Available classes

PUPPY CLASS: For puppies who are 6 months old or younger at the start of class or for small puppies (10 pounds or less fully grown) who are under 9 months old at the start of class.

BEGINNER CLASS: For dogs that know “sit” and “stay” but need a treat held in front of them and may face challenges walking on leash.

INTERMEDIATE CLASS: For dogs that can reliably perform 4 to 5 skills with a hand signal or verbal cue, under low distractions (i.e. your living room).

Topics covered in class include the basics: sit, down, come here, leash walking, and stay. Additional special topics are covered upon request.
