This cat’s life so far has been hard. Living alongside many other cats in an overcrowded home, they missed out on the opportunity to develop the social skills most cats build in early kittenhood, and now finds change and novelty overwhelming.
They are seeking a generous family content to offer the time and space they need to find comfort in a new place and routine, and who will appreciate the friendship they can offer, even if it’s only flirtatious blinks from across the room and a shadow at the foot of the bed at night rather than a cuddle session on your lap.
Where this cat shines is their ability to be companionable with other cats! In the shelter, they have taken comfort in the company of others from their home, and joining a family with a welcoming, outgoing cat friend may be one of the most successful strategies to help them feel comfortable connecting with new people.
They have not had exposure to dogs or children and, for their comfort, we suggest not asking them to tackle those new experiences.
