Stegz is a lovable 5-year-old Plott Hound/Pit Bull mix with a playful personality and a heart full of joy. Stegz’s previous family described him as a gentle, loving, and loyal dog who lights up around people, adores children, and has never met a stranger he didn’t befriend. Unfortunately, circumstances in his previous home changed, and his family made the difficult decision to rehome him. Even through this transition, he’s remained the same sweet, people-oriented dog who just wants to be part of a family again.
When volunteers first greet him for his walk, he may start off a bit cautious, but give him that brief pause to feel safe, and he softens quickly. He has a gentle, affectionate demeanor, stays attentive to his handler, and enjoys soft petting and calm companionship. Stegz is recommended for a family with older or no children and will only be adopted as the only dog in his new home.
