Foothills Animal Shelter will provide free canine vaccinations for community dogs. The free vaccines are made possible through Petco Love’s new national vaccination initiative, which is providing 1 million free pet vaccines to its existing animal welfare partners, including Foothills Animal Shelter, for family pets in need. Foothills Animal Shelter will host the vaccine event on November 20 at the Sheridan mobile home park (located at 5305 Sheridan Blvd., in Arvada) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Vaccines distributed through the Petco Love initiative will be the DAPPv Canine vaccine. Canine distemper and parvo vaccines will be offered free of charge and low-cost rabies and Bordetella will be available for $20. Jefferson County pet licensing will also be offered at the clinic for a fee of $20 along with microchip ID implants for $35.
