The role of our foster volunteers isn’t limited to playtime and affection. Foster volunteers may also administer medications, provide frequent bottle-feedings, perform physical therapy, or provide other individualized care. Our foster volunteers play a crucial role in an animal’s journey through the shelter system.
After Mouse arrived at Foothills, he struggled with the stress of all the changes in his life. He wasn’t feeling like himself, which made it difficult for potential adopters to see his snuggly, sweet personality. After about a month in foster care, Mouse had come out of his shell thanks to patient companionship in a home environment. Now, Mouse is in a loving home of his own!
