Pet owners are able to license their pets at our Shelter, as well as at select veterinary and municipal offices throughout Jefferson County. For a complete list of these locations, please click here.
In addition, you can visit walk-in clinics held at various times and dates throughout our community. These clinics also offer affordable vaccination services (bring your pet’s vaccination records to help us better serve you). A current rabies vaccination is required to license. If your pet is currently presenting with symptoms of illness or has been diagnosed with a contagious disease, please do not bring them to a clinic. Instead, please visit your regular veterinarian.
Two different opportunities exist to help make licensing more convenient for you:
- Vaccine, Microchip & Licensing Clinics at Foothills Animal Shelter: These clinics are held at the Shelter every Wednesday from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
- Vaccine, Microchip & Licensing Clinics in various locations throughout our community are also hosted by Foothills Animal Shelter in partnership with local Animal Control teams.
