Sweet Goldie is social with people and enjoys casual interactions and recreation with other dogs but may do best as the only dog in her new home. We recommend developing trusting relationships with her family before long absences to help her relax while you’re away. Adequate exercise and some simple home enrichment-like food puzzles, snuffle mats, or a few short training games-go a long way in helping her settle and enjoy her day. Goldie greets our volunteers with a loose, wiggly body and is easy to leash up. Once outside, she’s enthusiastic and curious about the world and quick to refocus when offered a tasty treat. She pays close attention to her handler, checks in often, and leans in for gentle petting.
With a bit of enrichment and a loving routine, she’ll shine even brighter in a home of her own. Goldie may just be that walking, hiking or jogging companion you’ve been searching for. If you’re ready to meet your new sweet girl, stop by and meet Goldie today!
