Meet Riley! Mature and such a great size, Riley is looking forward to curling up and taking a long nap after her shelter stay. Riley came to Foothills when her previous family was no longer able to care for her. Her former owner describes her as super sweet and funny and a joy to be around. She enjoys swimming and loves belly rubs, and couch-time snuggling.
In this busy and stressful environment it’s taken Riley a bit of time to become comfortable, and now she is eager to greet her friends and feels more optimistic when she’s approaching new friendships. Our volunteers tell us she’s affectionate and eager for treats, and quick to sit and offer her paw if your treat-dispensing hand needs some encouragement.
With a kind and patient strategy to helping her adjust to a new routine, we anticipate Riley’s new family will soon find her to be just as demonstrative as she was in her last home. To set her up for success in this transitional period Riley is available to families with children aged 10 or older, and is recommended for single dog placement as she prefers the spotlight to herself.
