Group Volunteering

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Volunteer Service Partner at Foothills Animal Shelter!

Our Volunteer Service Partner program allows organizations to send a small group to help around the shelter. While the projects won’t involve direct animal handling, they cover a range of tangible services that support our mission in truly impactful ways.

Program Guidelines

Required commitment of $750 or $1,500
Maximum group size of 10 individuals, all at least 18 years of age
Available to complete a 2-4 hour service project, dependent on facility needs
Due to high demand, bookings are limited to two groups per month on a first-come, first-served basis
Service projects offered Monday through Friday with a 10am or 1pm start time
Requests must be submitted at least 4 weeks in advance
Service projects do not include direct animal handling

What to Expect

One on-site volunteer teambuilding opportunity while supporting the pets and people of Jefferson County
Introduction to FAS mission and staff-led faculty tour with Q&A session
A hands-on shelter experience with activities ranging from grounds and landscaping maintenance, facility cleaning, laundry, dishes, and other evolving needs of the shelter
Social media shout-out with a group photo and company tag (if applicable) on Foothills platforms
Volunteers are asked to wear comfortable clothing that can get dirty and nonslip, closed-toe shoes.
Each participant must complete a volunteer waiver, emergency contact form, and general agreement before the project service day
Foothills will provide bottled water and any necessary items to complete assigned tasks
