(GOLDEN, CO—May 23, 2019) – Foothills Animal Shelter (FAS) is pleased to announce sponsorship of their retail space by Lisa Padgett, owner of Green Dog Graphic Design. Padgett has been involved with FAS since 2010. Studying graphic design, she partnered with the shelter to design informational pieces for adopters and patrons.
“It was really a way for me to use my skills to contribute to animal welfare,” said Padgett.
After working with the shelter on numerous design projects, Padgett decided she wanted to be more involved and signed on to be a volunteer.
“After working on so many projects for the shelter, I saw a lot of the behind-the-scenes stuff. I saw the camaraderie and I wanted to do good work with good people,” she said.
In addition to her volunteer service in the shelter’s surgical suite and her graphic design work for FAS, Padgett’s company Green Dog Graphic Design is the sponsor of the shelter’s retail space. The retail space offers new adopters the essentials they need for their new pets; locally made gifts and pet treats; apparel and more. Most recently, a series of bandanas for pets including slogans such as, “Yes, we are both single!”, and “This pit is lit—and loved!”
The bandanas were designed by Green Dog Graphic Design and sell for $6 each. Proceed from the retail space help support the animals in the shelter’s care.
“We are so thankful for Green Dog’s sponsorship of our retail space and the support of the shelter overall. Lisa’s generosity allows us to do even more for the animals and communities we serve,” said Amanda Plank, FAS Director of Development & Community Engagement.
Green Dog Graphic Design’s clients also include Fox Hollow Animal Hospital, Talon Wine Brands, Colorado Country Life, and the American Cheese Society. Padget is a dedicated volunteer for several animal-focused organizations as well.
