Sweet Mittens can’t wait to find a new bestie! She was described as “very loyal and loving” with her favorite human in the calm home where she spent most of her life. Following the passing of her trusted caretaker, Mittens briefly joined a home that included multiple other pets and young kids; in this busier environment, Mittens displayed more stressed behavior, and was brought to the shelter for the chance to find a home more similar to the one in which she had thrived. Here at FAS, she has endeared herself to staff and volunteers with her affectionate personality and big purr motor!
Mittens may prefer to be a beloved only-pet at this stage in her life, though, with thoughtful intros and well-matched furry friends, she may successfully integrate into a household with one or two other calm cats or dogs. An adults-only home, or one with respectful, cat-savvy kids, will likely be most comfy for her.
