Meet Odie. Brought to Foothills Animal Shelter by Animal Control, this timid miniature poodle was extremely starved and unresponsive. Staff rushed Odie to our shelter veterinarian, where they found that he was less than 25% of his normal body weight. At this time, he barely weighed six pounds. After several days of fluids, nutritious food, and lots of peanut butter treats, he quickly regained his strength. After he fully recovered, Odie was adopted by his foster family, where he is now spoiled daily.
