Shelter Mascot Becomes Agent Toby

Officer Toby_websiteToby, an older Australian Shepherd, was first brought to the Shelter in 2015 after he was found wandering the streets with his muzzle bound shut with tape. Considering the dog’s condition, everyone was surprised by his gentle, friendly demeanor. Toby’s good-natured, loving spirit never waned even though he was a victim of abuse. After several months in foster care, Toby was made the Mascot of Foothills Animal Shelter!

Part of Toby’s “job” as Shelter Mascot is hanging out at the Lakewood Police Department. For the past few months, he has been excelling at helping de-stress staff and boosting morale! He’s even earned the title of “Agent Toby” and has an official portrait–badge and all! Thanks to Leider Photography for the great photo.
